Avatar: The Last Airbender is Coming to Sheffield City Hall with a Live Orchestra

A very exciting and immersive musical moment is coming to Sheffield City Hall in February 2025!

Bringing the much-loved story to life in a new way, Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert will have a live orchestra playing the soundtrack of the Avatar series, with a wide cinema screen showcasing a two-hour recap of the animated series. This showing will use the original dialogue and sound effects, but no pre-recorded music, so the orchestra can perform the iconic score live and in harmony with the scenes.

If you don’t know the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the Emmy award winning series takes place in a world where four elemental nations are at war with each other and only the Avatar, master of all four elements, can restore peace. This Avatar is Aang, our protagonist who, with his friends, sets forth to restore balance to the nations.

Alongside creative collaboration with Jeff Adams, the show’s original editor, the composer and musician behind the show’s original music, Jeremy Zuckerman, also extends his talents to the concert series, helping bring the well-beloved story to life in a new and exciting way while keeping its original components.

A live orchestra is the perfect way to amplify the epic drama and intensity of the show, plunging its audience into an immersive storytelling experience.

The show will be coming to the Oval Hall on Thursday 6 February 2025. Tickets are now on sale via www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk/
