Newcastle Indie Heroes Little Comets to Play Network in April

Matt Codd

In what has been a truly incredible trend in recent music, for us at least, we've seen some renaissances and returns for some iconic acts of our formative music years - The 00s indie band. Names like The Maccabees and have recently reformed to much excitement while other acts like Franz Ferdinand (who you can catch at Tramlines this year), Hard-Fi and Maximo Park have found new life with their own comebacks at the start of the decade.

Now, adding their name to this ever growing list, Newcastle indie stalwarts Little Comets have announced their plans for new music for the first time in four years, backed by an extensive UK Tour, with a stop in the Steel City at Network on 4th April.

With an already expansive, and ever-growing, list of tracks to pull on for the set, the double-headline show promises to be a welcome way for people up and down the country to reconnect with these orchestrators of some of the catchiest DIY indie bangers we can ever remember.

Fans old and new will be desperate to hear some of the biggest tracks from their discography like 'Semaphores on the Lawn', 'Dancing Song', 'Bridge Burn' and 'A Little Opus' to list just a few. But with new singles already planned for release over the coming months, there will be plenty of excitement to hear what the boys have been cooking up behind those closed doors.

With a fifth album and second tour slated to follow by the end of the year, this is the perfect opportunity for audiences up and down the land to reconnect with the irresistibly catchy indie of Little Comets. Tickets are available now from www.littlecomets.com.
