Rock N Roll Circus 2025: James Join Stellar Lineup as Sunday Headliner

Matt Codd

Rock n Roll Circus really are treating us this year. Hot on the heels of the announcement of Queens of the Stone Age as festival openers (who are now playing Wednesday and Thursday due to phenomenal demand), the festival have announced that Northern icons James will close this year's festival as the Sunday headliners.

The band joins the aforementioned Queens of the Stone Age and Reverend and the Makers in the headline slots, with one more day left to be announced shortly, making this one of the most exciting sets of headliners at any festival throughout the country.

Fresh from a sell-out orchestral tour and celebrating over 40 years in music, James will bring their era-defining hits to the Circus. Fronted by the enigmatic Tim Booth, the band have found huge success with songs such as 'Sit Down', 'Laid' and 'Say Something', selling over 25 million albums worldwide.

James will be joined on the Sunday by Britpop favourites in Ocean Colour Scene and Sleeper. Yorkshire's own Embrace will also take to the main stage with fellow 90s stalwarts Cast joining the billing alongside rising stars The Lilacs and Girlband, with Sheffield's own Sonni Mills returning to complete the line-up so far.

Ali O’Reilly, Festival Director, said: “After the huge excitement around Queens of the Stone Age, we’re thrilled to announce yet another phenomenal night of music. James are one of the UK’s most celebrated live acts, and alongside an incredible supporting cast, we know this will be an unforgettable night. Rock N Roll Circus is all about delivering a unique and immersive festival experience, and we can’t wait to bring it all to life this summer.”

Pre-sale tickets for James go live on Wednesday 5th March, with general sale starting Friday 7th March. For more information and to buy tickets, head to: https://www.rocknrollcircus.co.uk
