It feels like only yesterday we were singing the praises of Sheffield born Rowan Campbell-Pilling on his F4 debut, after he impressed at Donington Park securing two P3 finishes in the Rookie Cup.

His second race weekend of the ROKit British F4 2024 season was on the 11th and 12th of May at Brands Hatch and the Argenti Motorsport Driver showed why he is one to watch out for in the competition.

The 17-year-old secured his first podium in the overall competition with a P3 finish, breaking a record as the first rookie to be on the podium so early in the championship, from a qualifying race, in a new generation car.

After only the first race of the weekend, Campbell-Pilling had secured two pieces of silverware as his fantastic performance also meant he stood on the top step of the Rookie Podium.

That was not the end of his success at Brands Hatch though, as in Race 2 he finished P3 in the Rookie Cup. Speaking at the end of the weekend, Campbell-Pilling said: “To walk away with three trophies – and one coming from an official podium – is incredible. I couldn’t be happier.”

Having registered five podium places so far this season, and picking up a Pirelli award for most overtakes at Donington, the Sheffield born driver finds himself sitting inside the top 10 of the Championship standings.

It is clear the F4 debutant is looking forward to the rest of the season and has set his ambitions for the races to come saying: “As a team, we’re in a great position as we push on for more podiums and with the aim to win the Rookie Cup.”

His Team Principal at Argenti Motorsport, Michael Meadows said: “We hope this strong start is representative of the season to come, with many more podiums across the official and rookie series.”

Campbell-Pilling will be back racing this weekend at Snetterton, with the races broadcast live on ITV.
