We Should Be Pals: Sheffield Community Social Group makes it easier to meet others across the city

Making friends into adulthood is hard, when we’re not working we’re catching up on life admin, seeing loved ones, or resting from the week's events. We Should Be Pals have created a stress-free way of getting yourself out there and forming new connections, just by attending their events as and when you please.

Running events across Sheffield, We Should Be Pals is designed to bring together newcomers to the city as well as anyone on the hunt for some new friends! Starting off, We Should Be Pals are hosting some summer social picnics as a relaxed and easy way to meet new people, with the first taking place on Sunday 16th July at Crookes Valley Park. There’ll be games, refreshments and (hopefully) some lovely sun to soak up!

Come with whoever you’d like, or even alone, the events are designed for people to attend alone, and feel free to bring whatever you’d like! Drinks, snacks, blankets, friends, games, dogs, suncream… Whatever will make you feel happy and most comfortable.

To ease any awkwardness, name badges will be provided, so no need to worry about forgetting anyone’s name! Just turn up and enjoy yourself.

The picnic is free to attend, but please RSVP via Eventbrite. Following picnics will be on Sunday 30th July and Saturday 12th August. Locations will vary so follow We Should Be Pals on Instagram for updates.

We Should Be Pals events are inclusive. Everyone is welcome no matter their background or way of life.
